Exciting stuff here. Tomatoes, four to be exact. They are red and lovely and will be a part of tomorrow's dinner. The strawberries are not producing much and I figured out why. My sweet dd helped with the planting and I have not checked on the pots since she planted them. Recently I had her take pictures so that I could post them. Well, there is a wee problem. She put the plants in the pots with very little soil. Now I have to help out the plants by basically replanting them. Some how they are still alive. I have been trying to give my dd some responsibilities and I should have checked on her work. Oh well. They are still alive and should produce again with some tlc. I have to feed my cherry tree. Finally had some time to check the website where we got Stella the cherry tree from and found out that I should feed her every two weeks-oops. This is what happens when you don't read info when you get a tree. Lesson learned and the feeding will commence. We are going to have zucchini coming out of our ears. There are flowers everywhere. Have not seen any bees. A few years back you could not eat outside because of the bees and now I haven't seen any. This is scary. Hope we have some somewhere. For me, I am not sure that I could keep bees. Chickens in the future but not bees. I ordered seeds from Johnny's and they were shipped out really quickly. Very impressed. I will be starting fall crops soon. Something is eating my hosta in the front yard. If it is the bunnies they are toast. I don't mind if they hang out but they do not pay rent and I am not feeding a herd of rabbits. Move on thumpers or else.
