This has been a week for knitting!! I attended two different knitting classes, and learned how to knit "mosaic" and refreshed my self-taught knowledge on how to knit cables. This resulted in a flurry of creativity, and now I'm imagining all sorts of places I can take these new talents!
It started out as a wet and stormy week. March lived up to its promise and came in like a lion and a half. Storm, storm, storm, rain running across the driveway like a river, animals hunched under shelter and looking miserable. Then, on Thursday, the sun appeared. I can understand why primitive people worshipped it, because I just about fell down on my knees and thanked the gods above when I stepped out of the house and felt the light and warmth hit me!! There is no finer feeling than sunlight on your skin, after days and days of grey, wet, weather.
Other than the rain, it was a good week for the animals. The chicks are growing like weeds and already have feathers. The bunnies are so much fun!! I was worried about them, or more specifically about me not having time to keep up with their grooming and upkeep, but we have a little routine going, and they are SO worth it! Polly, especially, has become a little lap-bunny. She will hop up on the couch with me to see if I'm up to anything interesting, and she loves to just sit next to me, getting petted. Colton is still not 100% trusting of me, but he is definitely curious and comes around a lot to check out what I'm doing. He'll nap next to me, but isn't too sure about being petted yet.
I am FINALLY over that STUPID illness that has plagued me since late January!! It feels so liberating to have energy again, and to wake up to a room that DOESN'T spin around me! I'm looking forward to making this upcoming week a productive one, as I have a lot of catching up to do!
