while wandering today I saw advertising and merchandise for Halloween. It's only August 26! This is ridiculous. I want to enjoy by life and take time to do the important things. Not be rushed through by the merchants and manufacturers to the next holiday. Before Halloween gets here they'll be advertising Thanksgiving and possibly even Christmas. How is one supposed to enjoy one's life if one is constantly hurtling forward to the next event without enjoying the hear and now?

After church this morning DD3 and I had run a couple of errands. I was so wiped out by the heat and the crowds that when we got home I took a nap. It's been a hectic few weeks with packing, loading, driving, unloading, and now unpacking. I guess it all kind of caught up with me.

DH has been amazing, working away like a champ before he has to go back to work. So grateful for his assistance with clearing things away so we can start living in this house instead of thinking about ...
