For the first time in who knows how long, I've got a buttload of groceries in my apartment. I stopped getting weekly groceries months ago, although I have done the "shop for two or three days at a time" deal.

It's strange having all this food around. It has been much cheaper though. I think, all told, we've spent about $140 on food for the two of us for two weeks, but that includes several condiments and other things we'll have to purchase less often. In a normal week, before, I was spending about $80 a week - just for me - on food just for work, probably more. Of course, half of the time, I didn't eat dinner, but still... I'd become very unfrugal as far as that went.

It's also very nice having someone to eat dinner with. I'd been missing that terribly.

We've mostly been frugal as far as entertainment goes. A lot of video game playing, movie/television watching, reading books, internet time, and, um, bedroom activities (that's my FAVORITE frugal activity).

I've cut WAY down on soda, even going without a few days. But I've noticed that, because it is a TREAT now, rather than just what I drink, I do enjoy it a lot more.

And he survived a trip to my mother's house, where there there was no arguing or fighting, something practically unheard of. And my stepfather didn't make a racist joke, which I was sure was going to happen (he did that to one of my sister's boyfriends).

I hope next week goes as well as this one did.

Here's a picture of Ben, playing the Wii at my mom's house:
