It's Been Almost A Year

Ben and I broke up at the end of March. We're still good friends. I wish I'd blogged here more about life together, but... it was mostly frugal.
In September, I lost my job. I'm still unemployed. And frustrated.
Right now, I'm getting unemployment and (reduced) food stamps. But that's not much. The unemployment is just enough to cover phone, reduced rent (because my roommates are nice), and a bus pass, with a little bit left over for food and such. And I get less than $100 a month in food stamps.
I desperately want a job. I'm tired of being so broke all the time.
I need better interview clothing, but can't afford it. And, around here, there's not much in the plus size section.
Tomorrow (well, technically, later today), I'm going to be making "poor man's chili" from scratch... no meat, probably. I don't have any set up to go in there currently.
I've also gone gluten-free. I'd kind of known I had a problem with it before but decided to live with the problems. I'm trying to take better care of myself, though. In addition, it messes with my emotions and makes me nearly suicidal at times. And that's not good.
However, this does add to my food expense.
So, tomorrow, a friend is taking me to a near-by food bank. I understand they have a "shopping" system, whereby you pick a certain number of items in each category of foods, which should help me out a bit.
