Dh is so funny...

Last night after the kids went to bed, and after..well you know....ROFL.

Dh asks me "Are you stressed about my job?"

Now what am I supposed to say? Yes beyond belief. Now that isn't quite accurate. So I told him, yes I was concerned, but I can't change what will or will not happen. I know that he'll do what it takes to support us, be it work on the side or a new job, he's never been out of work the last 13 years I've been with him. Changed alot, but never out of.

He goes: I thought so, so that's why I quit talking about work,no point in both of us stressing, since you have the hardest job, being here with all the monkeys. Or haven't you noticed??

Like that'll make a difference, but it's sweet of him to try to shield me from it.

He did say that he wouldn't be in the first wave and not likely in the second, the only way he goes is if the company closes the doors permanently. They are still making millions every month, still a bluechip, so at this point, they are ok. But that is so subject to change at any point.

    I hope that things go good for the company and that DH does not have to find another job.

    I hope so too, but I'm being a realistic, things can change suddenly, so it's best to prepare.

    Passing on good luck as well that he will be safe in his position. It is sweet that he is trying not to stress you out as well.

    I've been where you are and even if he stops talking about it, you'll still be stressed out! Try to stress to him that he needs a sounding board and you're it! Better to keep the lines of communication open between the two of you, than have him sheilding you from it...you'll both feel better if you can discuss it and at least have a tentative plan in place! But hopefully, all goes well and there is nothing to worry about!
