Very slow going when you have to catalogue every item before you put it into a box.

This week I am packing the books, and entering them into library software as I go. I'm using bookpedia, which I love. I was lucky enough to get a copy of the iphone companion app before it was pulled from the app store. It is so nice to have a list of your books and wishlist in your pocket when you wander into a bookstore.

I'm also test-driving a bunch of home inventory software ...

The electrician came by this morning. He found a few little things that he fixed and is coming back in the morning to replace a few plugs and switches.

The basement was wired later than the rest of the house - as expected as it was finished by a previous owner. He said it looks fine and was done with copper, so there shouldn't be any issues down there. The garage should be okay as well, also done by the previous owner.

Several of the switches upstairs were replaced ...

We had two offers the first day our house was on the market, the inspection is done, and we close on June 7th.

We need to have an electrician come in and check that everything is up to code and have an inspector provide us with a safety certificate. The electrician is supposed to come tomorrow, hopefully we won't need too much work. We did get $5000 above what we were expecting on the sale, so I will have to try to remember that when I am looking at the electrician's bill. ...
