I have not sewn in a long time. But today, I have fixed that. I got a new to me sewing machine. My two do not work. One the tension will not work correctly and I have had it fixed three times. Not sure what is going on with it, but oh well! The other one, the dog chewed the cord. So I contacted the maker of it and was told that it would cost me 60 to get a new cord, plus 10 for shipping. Umm. NOT!
So I posted on Freecycle and a woman gave me a new one.
So I am back in the saddle again!...

tomorrow is going to be a first for me. i will become a grandma. that is so strange. i am not even 40 yet!
this got me to thinking about my own granny.
she was such an incredible lady. not just in personality, but in actions as well.
she could sit and tell jokes with the best of them. she could sit for hours just listening to someone when they needed to talk. she would sit and crotchet afghans and doll dresses and shawls all the time. i don't think that there was ever a baby...
