Started sewing again....

I have not sewn in a long time. But today, I have fixed that. I got a new to me sewing machine. My two do not work. One the tension will not work correctly and I have had it fixed three times. Not sure what is going on with it, but oh well! The other one, the dog chewed the cord. So I contacted the maker of it and was told that it would cost me 60 to get a new cord, plus 10 for shipping. Umm. NOT!
So I posted on Freecycle and a woman gave me a new one.
So I am back in the saddle again!
I already have lots of projects that I am going to work on. But will start with a simple one first. I am going to make me a new purse!
I can't wait. I am going to make one of those quilted purse's. But it is going to be my design. I can't stand using a pattern. I already know what I want it to look like, I just have to get all of my material together and start sewing.
I am so happy! Can't wait to start.
As soon as the girls are off to school in the morning, I will be a sewing!

    Isn't that the best feeling? I love the excitement just before starting a new project and envisioning what it will look like when it's completed.

    I don't sew, but I do knit. Do we have any knitters on this site?

    Not sure where on this site, but post a WANT ad maybe what your old sewing machine is, and what part/s you are looking for. I found my electric foot pedal for my singer 401 on ebay. Think it was about $ 20 total. I limit my sewing to mending.

    I like crocheting, hand knitting, and am in the process of getting my big knitting machine set up. Went to a local club meeting and met a woman who can help me with it.
