Well the day started out normal enough with the plan to get my uni assignment completed today...that was until my computer start doing rather weird screen stuff and freezing. Investigations showed that this was a known, now unfixable fault with the laptop. So a new computer was in order. Luckily hubby has the store finance card and the department stores have 40 months interest free at the moment.

Off to the store we went in the afternoon. To get the 40 months interest free, we had to spent $1600. Computer was 15% off for $1105. I also got a carry bag, extended warranty (at staff price), a new charger for our wii remotes, 4 new pillows, 2 x quilt cover sets and a new set of sheets, all for a grand total of $1,674 i think. Everything was on sale. Silly me though bought the wrong pillow cases (european ones instead of standard). I'll have to pop back tomorrow and change them.

Whilst i know that this spending is against what i am trying to do this year, it really was things that were needed, well the new computer and the pillows, everything else was a bonus.

Now to get this assignment partially completed tomorrow before going out to my parents in the afternoon. Mum gets back from a trip to New York and San Francisco tomorrow morning. I haven't seen her since 18 December.
