  1. January 7th in a California Garden

    by , 01-07-2011 at 07:30 PM
This time of year, there isn't much to report. The ground is too wet to plant anything, and the weather is too cold for anything to germinate. The most exciting part of this month was the beginning, when ALL the seed catalogues started showing up! Time to plan and dream!

One thing I have been doing is saving yogurt cups, so I can start a few seeds inside in March or early April. I may also try buying some started plants this year, as well, but I haven't made up my mind yet. The plants ...

She had not wanted to do it, but is now in agreement. The money will pretty much cover the land payment for the next 3 years we will run a small negative or break even after taxes and ...

  4. First pay of the new budget

    by , 01-05-2011 at 03:12 AM
So today was my first pay of the new budget. I stopped off and got meat and some vegies on the way home. So far my meat budget is set to come in at $92 rather then the $110 I had budgeted for the fortnight.

With all the periodic payments I have set up on banking, it is so nice not to have to get online and do all the payments myself.

Second day back at work and oh so tired!

    Have a wonderful day
  5. Back to work today....

    by , 01-04-2011 at 02:53 AM
Well it was back to work for me today.

I took my coins along with me to deposit at the bank during morning tea. What an adventure that was. All coins were sorted into bags according to their denomination, but the lady wouldn't accept the coins unless they were in bundles of $10.00. In the end $50.00 got deposited and the rest came home.

I made a discovery also this morning that my union fees are not included on my 2011 budget, so in they have gone. I have had to make ...
