My dh changed our plans on how to spend our tax rebate. We were going to make an extra payment towards our home equity loan. Instead....He has been wanting to trade in his 2 door pontiac G6. It had 113,000 miles on it and was not practical for traveling with our day care clients. The back seat was useless. Most of us couldn't get in and out of it. After much discussion I agreed he could trade it
It has been a year since joining the Frugal Village forums and living a frugal lifestyle. I have learned a lot and developed many frugal habits. My husband has also changed his spending habits. Our debt has significantly been reduced in the past year by reducing our spending and using the savings to pay off debt. We continue to snowball payments. As of today we have just one loan left as we paid off another loan. I am grateful for the inspiration the members of this forum have given me. Thank you.
Since moving from a hotel(extended stay) and signing a year lease we are enjoying the additional space. Slowly getting organized just a few boxes each day. We had also used a lot of my stockpile but I am still working on it. I probably have 10 boxes of food. We are also continuing to use the vitamins and other household items. Shopping for a car hopefully we can find a great deal. Want to get one before we have to get one, just to take the pressure of hunting without a backup car. I am gearing

1 kid in college now, 1 graduating this yr. from HS. the other still 2 yrs. to go
oldest in Ca. has 4 foster to adopt. kids now, and are barley making it even with the money for fostering. The poor girls always seem to be getting sick too. But I know they are loved and taken care of. And they even look like they could be their natural parents!
