    Spent money today on apples,York peppermint patties and salsa. Signed up for the grocery store card for discounts. We ate all meals at the condo with food brought from our pantry and left overs from yesterday. Also spent money on car wash to remove the salt.

    3 months ago, friends of ours asked if we would like to spend a week at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with them at their time share condo. My husband and I decided to accept the invitation. My husband loves to golf and I like to visit places I've never been so the area met our first criteria.

    Today I give thanks for warm things.

    It is easy to complain about the cold, especially with temperatures so much colder than normal. The challenge is to focus on the positive, which is being happy for the warm things in my life.

    I am not one to deny bad things in my life. I am not going to say the cold is not that bad. It is cold enough to make me swear. But I am thankful for warm things to help me get through it.

  5. 2014 Almost debt free

    I am getting there. Our house sold in Southern California, so I was able to pay almost all debt. I have a $9k loan plus $1k Chase along with about $750 of other debt. I do have a wedding coming up in May so have been doing an antique fair in the area to try and raise funds along with clearing items. I am hoping to knock out the small items in the next few months and then concentrate on the 9k. Should be debt free this year unless Murphy acts up. For the new year am also looking to loose more ...
