Life and times on a Iowa farm

So after surfing on the web last night all of a sudden there it was and it was strong!!! SKUNK smell and it went all through the house, the garage door was open so I slowly checked in there for the little bogger, nope not in there (thank havens) We have killed about 10 skunks this year so I guess he must of found out and was taking his revenge on us lol.

House smells ok now, or did I just get use to it?

Ok it was another good day for harvesting, fed the guys in the field this evening then took DD to her BF's so she could ride around in the tractor with him. Came home and drove over to the chicken coop, had the music going, got out to shut the door to the coop and all of a sudden my rump just started moving back and forth, I looked up and it was a clear night with a million stars in the sky, I just shook my rump over to that door, closed it and shook it back to the car. It was a beautiful day out today considering the weather we have had for fall this year. Harvest is 20 days behind for the state of Iowa this year! We just finished our bean harvest on the 6th (friday) so that is a good feeling!! The kids and I worked outside today after church doing chores, sweeoing and working with their 4H calves, they are coming along great on walking with the haulter. ...
