    Last January, I joined Frugal Village after a very trying Christmas week. I was looking for a way to get our household finances under control. I ordered and read a used copy of Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and was Googling about budgeting and Dave Ramsey when I clicked on a link that brought me here to FV.

  2. Thrifty, Frugal and Green

    I tried an experiment over a year ago. Can buy everything I need with coupons, garage sales, and thrift shops. Except for underwear, I think I succeeded. I found some exceptional bargins and some flops that did not hold up.

    At times I feel like I have won and other times I feel like I have lost. I have always been a thrift shop/garage sale/dumpster diving/coupon baby. I just took it to another level. Now a year later I find my bank account no bigger, my saving account not ...
