I'm currently using my blog as a journal to chronicle my experiences with self improvement. I'm looking to become a better person, wife, and mother.
Yesterday at work they opened the position for scheduler. We have two, one for the die side and one for the web side. This position is for the die side. I really really want this - this has been my going for many years now. I threw my name in the bid box, and the person moving out of the position (she's going to a newly created position) said that she had recommended me for this job. Personally, I don't know. I'm kind of distrustful that my management would put me in this position. I think ...
Just making another blog entry to keep in the habit. How does time get away from me? It seems like I had a ton of free time tonight and it just disappeared. I can't believe that it's 11:30 already. I did pack a lunch for tomorrow, and brought stuff down to the car, but I really wanted to do a lot of personal maintanence - paint my nails, use the microderm abrasion stuff - but that may not happen now. I did get a pedicure today - something I didn't want to spend money on, but I really felt like ...
I don't really have a whole lot to say tonight, but I'm trying to get in the habit of blogging every day, or at least every couple of days. Major props to Starbucks today - they have a deal going where if you show a card (like a coupon, and they were passing them out a month ago) you get a free iced coffee on Wednesdays. Most of what we're looking at lists in the 225K-240K range, but realistically we have a 180K-200K budget. Yes, we can afford more, but we're trying to keep a mortgage payment to $1500 so we can keep up with our other savings goals (retirement, college, general EF, etc.). So if we see a house at 225K, ...
I find that my nights are getting pretty busy now, so I've been doing my FV catchup at lunch while I'm at work. This is kind of new for me, since I've fallen into the habit of going out at lunch everyday. I get pretty tired of sitting at my desk from 8am to 5pm, but I don't want to spend the money eating out or the gas to drive anywhere. When I first started, I walked to the gas station down the street to get a coffee, but I really don't want to spend money on coffee. There aren't any real parks ...
