  1. Go for what you know

    by , 11-28-2013 at 08:44 PM
Seeing my first episode of Extreme couponing and I was hooked. I brought all the trappings. The binder, baseball sleeves to keep my coupons in. Tracking sales (or at least trying to). Joining blogs, reward cards and just about anything to stretch a dollar. I also have been tracking how much I am saving. I mean right down to the paper and ink I use to print out my coupons. I must be doing something wrong.

I have always lived frugal. The majority of my frugal was a necessity. ...

  2. Seeking Frugal Rejuvenation

by , 11-14-2013 at 06:19 PM (My Journey on the Frugal Side of life)
I'm missing that spark of excitement I had when I first discovered how much money I could save by frugal living. I thought I'd journal what positive changes we have made and what areas could be improved on.

I am trying not to beat myself up for my months of squandering cash. I navigated my way back to FV to rekindle the love of frugality I once had, and to review the Challenges that I have not attempted in a long, long time.
I look around my home and I see all this stuff I've collected. Stuff, such as knitting pattern magazines, that I certainly don't NEED but felt I truly wanted when I bought them. Magazines full of patterns that I won't ever knit. How sad is that?
    There's other ...

  5. Random acts of Kindness

by , 10-10-2013 at 10:48 PM (My Journey on the Frugal Side of life)
"Carry out a random act of kindness with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."
    Princess Diana

I challenge all villagers to commit to one random act of kindness a week.
Together we can make a difference in others lives, in our communities, and in the world.
