This is the record of my journey toward a more realistic and healthier lifestyle.
I've been away from the forums and blogs for awhile. Things are just ticking right along, getting used to a new curriculum for ODD and awaiting her test results, getting my GS trainings in, planning camp, and trying to keep up with the house.
We are going to have to seriously rennovate the back yard. The part that's fenced is where the dogs hang out, and between a neighbors tree shading it out for two years and the greyhound racing around like a maniac, it's a mud pit. Said tree
The play was amazing. It was beyond theatre in the round, it was immersion theatre. The goal was "Shakespeare for the next generation" and it was billed for 13 and up. There were many many young teens there. The audience was on the stage, the action happened all around. The kids were sitting on the steps, sitting on Juliet's balconey. Our tax refund will make a sizable payment on another account, and then we will be snowballing indeed.
Saturday we are going to see a play. The tix were a bit expensive but we really only get 2 or 3 dates a year with the lack of sitters (and that's counting the company party, how pathetic), so I'm not going
It's been a very musical weekend. Saturday was ODD's recital. She played "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" carter style. It wasn't the best I've ever heard her play it, but it was very good. Her favorite piece that she heard played was "The Entertainer". She really does prefer jazz and blues...I can live with that.
Saturday morning I ran errands and stopped at Music Go Round to check on prices for cymbals and other drum stuff for MDD. I found a nice autoharp; now
