oops I should have read the replies above before asking my question.
I ended up having a bowl big enough, and I used my KA to knead the dough as my wrists have been bothering me lately. I have the dough rising on the stovetop now. I was going to put it on top of the tv or the fridge, but neither seemed warm. My oven is on, so hopefully that's enough heat for it.
My kids are going to love the smell when they get home!

I'm getting impatient LOL...it's on its second rise. Thank goodness I can't smell it yet because if I had to smell it and wait almost another 1 1/2 hrs, I'd go nuts

and for anyone who may be doing WW and counting points, based on 24 servings/the recipe, each slice is 5 pts.
I may "tweak" it a bit next time I make it to see if I can get the points lower (if I'm still doing WW)

Ha! I'm laughing at the WW points! I believe it though, it tastes too good to be healthy for you!
You can cut the recipe in half, if you need to. I've done it before, when I was low on yeast, and I just put it into a big bread pan and it was a large loaf!

I'm going to have to give this recipe a shot. I tried to make Amish White Bread earlier and it came out pretty heavy, probably because I used regular flour instead of bread flour. Still was yummy, but I'd rather have a softer and more malleable bread for sandwiches.

It was wonderful. I halved the recipe and mixed it in my breakmaker then formed it into 2 loaves. Made decent sized loaves even though the whole recipe says it only makes 3 loaves. The only thing I did different was bake it at 375 for about 25 minutes and I used bread flour, it didn't really specify in the recipe which to use. It was soft and had a nice crust on the outside. Family loved it.
