I'm doing a happy dance here, we've had a major breakthrough. I'm not even sure why but I need to share with those who understand.
We've gone on 3 trips (40 mins return, 2 hrs return and 6 hrs return) and all 3 trips, we've had no screaming, punching himself or banging his head on the seat.
Our ds has had a major victory!!!!!! Has have our family.
We have experienced this bliss, but not without a cost. We purchased a Video in a bag, it's a VCR and mini screen the kids can watch in the back of the car. They each put on head phones and dh & I don't hear a word for hours. A big cop out I know, but the silence.......... It's so wonderful !!!!!

That's great! Before we identified by ds's food allergy we had some of those trips with 30 min. long screaming fits (sometimes more than one ). So I definitely appreciate this victory!
