DH is now growing a beard... it looks really cute (though some might not agree). You could try au naturel if work allows it

Absolute best solution is a straight edge razor. I looked into it, but the price of admission was too steep. I think that a blade costs roughly $500. Ouch! Still, over your entire lifetime, you would end up saving a load of money over disposables. Plus, there is the allure of being a bad ass with risking your life shaving.
Handmade soap (formulated for shaving) would beat out any crap in a pressurized can.

My husband solved the problem by just growing a beard. LOL

I also use CVS's ECB system and Walgreens RR system to get razors free. I have s stockpile that should last DH and I for years. If we didn't, I would be using the electric razor.

I wish my husband would use an electric razor. We don't pay for electricity so it would save us a TON. But, he has to shave everyday, and after a while he gets razor burn from eletrics and from cheap razors. So, he uses a quatro. He used to use a fusion, but I got him to switch to a quatro and it at least saves us $4 each pack of refills. Not to mention that commissary had them for $4 for a pack of 6 a few months ago...needless to say I STOCKED UP! I was able to buy enough refills for his entire deployment and then some. (I was able to save on shipping that way too LOL!) YAY!

Don't throw away that old razor.
Quick trick to make your blades last longer. This would bring the cost of a blade spread out over a year. Try to beat that with an electric razor!

Dh's skin is so sensitive that he cuts himself all the time with regular razors or breaks out in a terrible rash. I bought him a clearanced electric razor at Target last year and he's been using it ever since.
Also, my ods has Asperger's Syndrome. He can use an electric razor much easier than regular ones. I figure it's worth the electricity costs to make my men happy.
