I've got the camping bug!

Ahhh camping..I remember those days..spring-is it around the corner? I know how you're all feeling. We're talking a lot about our adventures @ supper time. Hubby started working on the RV, now since it's above freezing. He has the generator running now. My dau made new curtains, shower curtain, & covered the dinette cushions plus 2 throw pillows. The RV may be old, but will look like a dream when we get thru with it. We've been browsing brochures and may take a trip to Springfield IL. I've bought blankets & sheet sets on clearance. So, I'm saving a dollar here & there. So, let's all get out the atlas and plan happy, camping trips.

I've been planning and plotting -- I want to go camping again!!!

As soon as I can align the stars and have DD and the Old Man here at the same time, I'm going to book the cabin!

Our motor home needs some repairs, too.

The pop up needs to have the shower installation completed and some mods (modifications) done and/or completed.

This has been coming up pretty frequently here also. We did not go camping once last year which is crazy! I cannot wait to get the kids out to the lake. We've already picked out a bunch of state parks neither of us have visited to go explore this summer.

I'm ready to go in my mind, but not in reality. I need to buy 2 new aux batteries for the RV and get the oil & filter changed. Then we'll be ready to go. We ended up having to get 2 windows re-sealed when we went down to AZ for Thanksgiving and they had 2 days of really heavy rain.

After that we'll be ready to go! In April we're headed off to the Grand Canyon. I made my reservations already and I'm so excited. I haven't decided where we'll stay getting to and from just yet.

There is so many things I want to do and see it's insane! I even spread the RVing bug to my friend here and they are picking up their trailer this weekend, LOL.

I talked to my sister today about camping. We are going to rent a camper cabin at Duncan's Family Campground in Lothian, Maryland. We are looking at a weekend in June. I love to tent camp but my sister does not like to camp, at all. I have to ease her into this. Her 4 year-old daughter, my niece, "camped" for the day with my family at a nearby state park. She even took a shower in the bath house. While we were getting water from the pump she said to my mom, "Mom mom, I'm so excited. Are you excited?"

The campground looks great. There's a pool, mini-golf, play ground, nature trail, crafts, kids bingo, movie night, and flash light lollipop hunt. My kids dd 19 and ds 17 are going to go and my nephew 15. They all love to camp. I hope to convert my sister into a camper. Wish me luck!
