    Smile Hello Campers!!

    Where are you headed this summer? We just took our 2nd set of 3 grands camping this past wkend. Camped about hour & half from us. 1 more set of 3 to go!
    I found a Keno card game for a dollar @ a garage sale. Gave out prizes of change & they loved it! Also filled a lg shoe box with crayons, coloring book, activity book, cards, UNO, paper & pens, those triangle golf tee games from Cracker barrel (found 2 for a dollar!),travel size games. I also packed chinese checkers & just checkers. With the box & campground activites, they kept busy. Of course they had their cell phones & DS's.
    As usual, I had precooked all my food. Just a lot easier....
    We'll be taking longer trips in August. Share with us.............

    I'm heading off this Saturday for a week of camping at Rocky Neck State Park in CT. Its a campground on the beach. I CAN NOT WAIT!!

    I went last year and just had a great time. The walking trail to the beach is about a 1/2 mile so we bring our bikes and leave the car parked most of the week.

    I haven't even thought about food yet. I'll go shopping on Thursday and go from there. We'll be close to a superwalmart so we can always replenish if needed.

    Found this site through in_a_tent on twitter, so I thought I'd say hello.

    So hello!!

    A bit about me and camping....
    Have been camping from a very young age with my family, took a bit of a break, but now back into it good and proper

    Am a proud owner of a tentipi safir 7cp, which I love
    robably a bit over the top for British Summertime camping, but hey ho, you only live once!

    My parents have a camper. My family joined them on a trip to Niagara Falls this past summer.

    With dh not working for 2 yrs. We didn't get any camping done this past summer at all. Once he got a job in June we needed to stash money back in the savings once again.

    Now I am going to book a few weekends and 1 week camping no matter what for summer of 2011. I really missed not camping.

    My dh hopefully will retire before this coming summer. I told him that I would like for us to get camper/trailer so that we can start camping again and put in a little bit of traveling.

    I hope this comes true.

    I got both my ex DH and my son cots for Christmas from Cabelas. We still use a tent and the cots make it so much easier to get a good nights sleep.
