Minnesota parks re-opening
FYI for anyone planning to travel and/or camp in Minnesota:
The three-week state shut-down ended Wednesday, with most state employees going back to work yesterday. A news report last evening stated most parks would be open for the weekend, and that reservations will be honored. They also said no new reservations would be taken until July 26.
Some state parks sustained storm damage during the shut-down and those parks will have a delayed re-opening. For more details, click here.
Fishing licenses are also available again.
Highway rest stops are either open or will be soon.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They are, but at the same time if the shut-down hadn't happened, there never would have been a resolution to the budget stalemate. It was sort of a no-win situation.
I'm glad it's over but it's going to take me a while to get over losing all that money because of other people's stupidity.

Thank goodness the state is up and running again!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
