Default Question about Coleman Camp Stoves

Might sound like a dumb question, but I'm not too familar with camp stoves. I always had in inside pop-up camper or travel trailer stove to cook on.

We have a Coleman camp stove that uses white gas we bought 2nd hand. I was looking up some stuff on a local buy/sell site and they had a camp stove they said burned white gas or unleaded gasoline. Is this true? Eventhough the few times we've used the stove we've white gas, can I convert it to unleaded gasoline? I mean, it's not going to explode or anything if I burn unleaded gasoline in it?

You might want to contact Coleman about that. We have a Coleman lantern that burns white gas or unleaded - but our old Coleman stove only gets white gas. (If I'm remembering correctly).

If you have a s/n or something on your stove I'm sure Coleman can look it up and answer your question promptly.

I whole heartedly agree with CampCrazyMom. Contact Coleman!
Ours is a very old (over 25 years) stove and only works on white gas.

If you will go to http://coleman.com and look under stoves they have manuals in pdf. They have quiet a few different stoves so you will have to match up which one is yours. Hope that helps.
