Default Is it Frugal to make your own candles?

I love candles, yankee the best. I do also buy candles from smaller candle makers, I love unique jars and packaging.. but they have to have a nice fragrance most of all!!

How cost effective is it to make your own candles, and can you make them smell good and strong?

I would appriciate any informaiton.

TIA....

i have been making my own candles for a while. I can't have stong scents *causes migraines* but you can make them really strong and make them smell as good as yankee. as for saving money that is debatable it isn't cheap to start it *inless your like me with a mil that had a craft store and get all of the leftovers*. in the long run you will be saving money it is just buying the stuff when you first start. GOOD LUCK... (if you use the wax instead of the gel your scents will be stronger).
