    Default What to do????

Ok. Earlier this year, I was working at Waffle House. I quit because there were some people stealing. Well those people are now gone, I have been asked back to work. So right at the moment, I am working there for 2 nights a week.
I am also working at the haunted house 2 nights a week.
I have been called by a company to come in and do an interview. (walmart) I have no problem with them. I have worked for them before as seasonal help. That is what they are calling me for this time also.
The haunted house will end the first weekend of November. So that will be gone.
But if you were me, would you see if you could work at both Waffle House and Walmart? That is if I get offered the job at Walmart? I know that seasonal help can turn into full time help.
Working there would help out. I would be able to use the discount, which would help up out.
It would help us reach our goals faster. I am not even sure I want to continue working at Waffle House.

    What would you do???????

Well for me I would just work at the Waffle house until I know for sure I was going to be hired at Walmart, once hired or even told you have the job at Walmart, then leave the Waffle House and work the one job.

I guess for me I would weigh the pro's and con's of working one or the other or both. I mean if it will stress you out working both then work the one you like most.

How are the tips? Honestly, 15 years ago I made more per hour waiting tables than I do now - in a real post college supervisory position I have been with for 15 years!
I just could not work the amount of hours to make it worth keeping.
Why not do both through the holidays, then if a great deal is offered, consider it. With the economy the way it is, take what you can get while you can get it, a few more months and either place may be laying off. Good luck.

I would do WH and Walmart. You're not positive that Walmart will turn permanent. Stay at WH until it does. Just my two cents.

I would take whatever jobs that pay the most and are the best for my family. If you can't do the haunted house they will have to understand that you got a better job. In today's times one must think of their families and themselves first so do what is the best for you.

I wait tables here and there and it's excellent money. I also do banquets which don't pay as much but I love doing them. Part of it is being happy and part of it is about getting the money you need to pay bills. I have chosen to put my financial needs before my own personal comfort temporarily till I can get out of the "debt pile" I'm under. You just have to choose what feels right and will help you meet your goals. Good luck to you with the decision you choose but definitely go to the interview at Wal Mart and see what they offer.

Another vote to stay at WH until Walmart offers the permenant position. At that time, evaluate which job is working out better for your situation.

    Well,
I am a night owl. So working at WH would be better for me. My job is 3rd shift. I get to see the girls in the evenings, get the girls off to school in the mornings, and spend time with dh!

Walmart, offered me a second shift position. I would only be able to see the girls in the mornings. They would have to have a baby sitter. So that's not going to work out for us.

I like being able to go to work and not pay a baby sitter. LOL
No extra money out of my pockets!

So I am going to stick with WH. Plus I love waiting tables. So that's a bonus!

I would love to work at both places, but WM wants me to work full time, so does WH. I am no longer just working 2 nights a week there.
I would like to work both, but because of the hours at WM, I will not be able to work there.
So I am just going to stick with WH.

Moor, do I remember correctly that you also own a business? Or maybe I have you mixed up with someone else. Anyway, if you do still own a business, will any of the other jobs interfere? Sounds like you have made up your mind, and here's hoping it works out well for you.
