    Default Job search question

So I am in the middle of learning medical coding, billing, and transcription with medical terminology. I expect to be finished the program in february, march, or at latest early april. Its self paced, through self study and online exams. My question is, where can I get a job with these skills>? and should I start looking before the class is done? Or should I wait for the " certificates? " Any advice will be appreciated. Also of note:
I have 4 years experience working in a medical testing lab, handling specimens, end entering medical data, as well as operation a computer and office equipment.

I would go ahead and start looking. You can alway talk to the potential employer and say you will be finished by march or april.

I think you should start looking for a entry level position in the field now. There are a lot of great opportunities out there. I have done this type of work ever since I entered the job market. Most of my billing experience is in pharmacy. The best job I have had in the field (when I stepped out of comfort zone of pharmacy) that I felt had the most room for advance was my time when I worked for a company that owned several hospitals. I loved working there because you could move around and work in all areas. The one thing about this type of work is it can get boring at times. Working for a larger company allows you to use everything you now and to learn more as you go. I would still be with that company but they closed the billing office I worked at and moved everyone that was willing, so back to pharmacy I went. The experince you already have in the medical field should definately go on the resume, it may not be directly related to billing but it puts you in a position of not being new to the medical field. There are a lot of different billing positions in the medical field so keep your mind open to all the opporunities. Good Luck, this is an area in the job market that I feel has a lot of options.
