DH got a job!
Yay! I'm so happy and I think he is too. It's a large pay cut for him but it's with a company where turnover is very low. They treat their employees very well.
It's been a long time coming (1 year and 1 month). While we had budgeted for this, we're happy for the extra money. Fortunately, we only lost about $5k (net cash flow over the year) with him being off work for this long. It definitely pays to save for those rainy days and it didn't hurt that we both grew up in low-income households.
Just had to share this small success.

Congrats to him for being successful and congrats to BOTH OF YOU for making it through a tough time.
Sometimes a pay cut isn't all that bad if the place of work is good. Hope he likes it.

Glory be and Hallelujah. i am so glad for you. My DD,brother and his wife are out of work now. I stopped looking a long time ago. You did well going down so little. Hope he actually enjoys this job.

Awesome! Congrats! Hearing about how yall saved has really got me thinking I need to up my savings quite a bit. Those rainy days tend to sneak up ya and you never quite know when theyre coming.
