Am looking to go to school
my husband finally has a steady job after a few years on disability and unemployment...I have set up and appointment with VESID(vocational educational services for individuals with disabilities here in NY-I am bipolar)....and hopefully they will help with tuition going back to school...I hope to go for massage therapy but that being a long shot I would be happy to be a nurses aide( to eventually be a holistic NP)and go that route if that's where the cards fall.otherwise I would do MT and eventually TCM practitioner, tho these days such things are more luxury than necessity. My children are 3 and 5 , 5 DD in Kindergarten my 3 year old DS is developmentally delayed and may have a sensory perception disorder ( posted earlier about him big anxiety over it), and hopefully he will be placed in a good preschool with integrative classes so he can get the attention and help he needs.( I also want to go for parental training which they offer here on LI).Therefore when they are both in school I will go back myself and see which fork I will take with VESID's help.I am slowly coming up with a plan for myself and my DH and I are on the same page for most things.Am finally feeling pretty stable on my medicine.even tho I was in Psych ward last month it was a fluke I was on prednisone and had come off it too quickly after being on for five months....It interfered with my medicine and had a bit of symptoms returning after i went off of it.ok sorry for another ramble lol

Hi Patty
I have bi-polar disorder, too. I had a major depression in 1999 and again in 2003. Remeron has helped.
I really want to encourage you to pursue your dream. I'm a college professor and went out on disability for six months (in 1999) spending some time in the psy. ward and in the regular part of the hospital for some medical issues. I understand your challenges.
Best wishes.
