Am I Allergic to Job Security?
So I have applied for a job which, on paper, and in terms of my previous experience, I should have no problem landing. I have done virtually the same work for another organization in the same neighbourhood. I already have all the contacts and network needed, and I know and have good working relationships with almost everyone on the hiring committee.
So what, you might ask, is standing in your way?
STRESS and what it does to my ability to sell myself.
Does anyone else find it harder to interview for something in which you know people? It completely freaks me out!
Maybe there is a shot I can take!

I'm almost always more nervous when people I know are interviewing me....maybe because there's no leeway for b.s.'ing my way through the interview? lol
As for shots, I like Scooby Snacks...Bailey's, banana liquer and kahlua

Lucky's right. No leeway for BS. Also since you know them you also know that if you don't get the job it's a very real possibility that your feelings for them will change whether you want them to or not. And you know you don't want that to happen.
