I know what you are going through.
Mine ended this spring. It's been extremely interesting being creative finding a few extra dollars here and there to help keep our budget going. Hubby works full time, but we are low income.

PM me, and maybe we can throw a few ideas around

On our local news, there is a news story about the president hoping to sign another extension if he can get congress to work with him in the next few days.

It looks like another unemployment extension will go through this week, and those who have lost their UEI and are still eligible will get retroactive benefits and benefits going forward.

    Correct on retroactive and extensions....
but anyone who has already hit 99 weeks, it's all over for them.

Hi...how did you find out that they approved the extention? I ask because my Dad is one whom lost his UEI 2 weeks ago and said that they haven't finished the voting yet?

They are still working on it...
but the president is starting to push it harder.
They agree to it....but having a hard time deciding where to get the money from. That has been the holdup.
Our local news station, channel 9 out of Syracuse NY has a current story on it. It could happen this week. Maybe.

I could possibly get the extra 6 weeks if passed soon enough. I hope so, we could really use it to work on the trailer.

Default dh only collected 93 weeks and it was ended...

so six weeks retroactive would be awesome....we need it so badly cause of our house payment finally got it back down to where it is sort of tolerable but still have to make the last month or a very high payment and we are struggling very badly... I have taken to selling stuff around the house that is not bolted down just to come up with enough to make this payment....i feel awful because i have had to sell the kids xbox and their games and a laptop however like dh says you gotta do what you gotta do....and the kids totally understand... so i guess not so bad after all but that 6 weeks retroactive would be so helpful....

The Senate voted today (Tuesday) and it passed, 60-40, after 5 times failing. They'll have another "vote" sometime tomorrow (Wednesday) and if all goes well, (fingers crossed) it'll go to Obama to sign Thursday. If you get the Debit card, monies, retroactive, "should" be on your card as early as Friday or next week the latest.

This ONLY goes for the people who have NOT collected for the full 99 weeks.

My DH is 1 who will go retroactive back to June 5th.....was his last unemployment check.
