That is EXCELLENT news! And no heavy lifting to boot!

I'm curious - what kind of money can dealers make? Outside of tips I mean. I am one to play Blackjack occasionally and I've always been curious.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Good for him! Harrahs is also one of the best casinos in AC to work for. I've had friends work there and loved it. They treat their employees much better then some of the other casinos. And from what I understand, if he is good at being a dealer he can make some serious tips. The pay is suppose to be pretty good as well.

great - i have a friend whose sil has worked for teh casinos for years and is very happy with them .

she also took some time off from the casinos for a year and worked on a cruise line - got a teeny room but free room - free food and got time to explose when the boats docked and got to see the world a bit !

only thing to remember is that you are always on TV and always beig watched at those casinos - so you gotta smile even when you have a jerky drink annoying you LOL

Exactly this is great for DH because of the arthritis in his back. No heavy lifting! And DH is starting @ $5 an hour, but the tips are $14 an hour right now. They have been going up about $1 every month. So about $19 an hour. All their tips get split between how many BJ dealers worked that day and they give it to you hourly so its great!! Even if he was making $5 an hour tips, (which they said never has happened before), thats still $10 an hour which is good to me!

He LOVES Harrahs! They have treated him so well already. DH and I had a free room @ harrahs (we have 2 actually) so we stayed on Friday over night, and I was not impressed but the service was amazing.

Wow, a cruise line? I wold love that! DH is good @ being nice to jerks, the only thing I am worried about is the smoking. I use to smoke and DH HATED it, and I never even smoked near him...so that will be rough for him.
