Temp Agencies?
I have a part-time morning job that I want to keep. I SHOULD get a full-time job (with no qualifications, in this economy) for the purpose of health insurance because my dh is self-employed and works HARD but cannot afford individual...but...again....I want to keep the part-time job that I have. Due to DH's travel schedule, I don't want to be locked into working during the rare times he is home. What do temp agencies have available in afternoons...clerical...or otherwise? How are these agencies doing in this economy?

The temp agencies are actually doing ok in this economy. Business are going there first to re-hire staff because they pay the unemployment if the economy takes another nose dive.
I'm not sure if you will specifically get an afternoon job, I know a lot of agencies do call center staffing if that is something you are interested in. I think that would be more of a 2nd shift position rather than a few hours in the afternoon though. Have you looked into retail? At the end of summer places will start hiring for holiday temporary workers.
