Hire me already!

Ok after a loong period of looking for a job. i think i may have found a part time job that pays $7.75 an hour at a bookstore. If they can get around to hiring me....I have been in twice to talk to them (once for interview...once to fill out more papers).....communicated with them by email several times (they emailed me and I would respond)...had several phone calls.......they have not said YOU ARE HIRED. Almost, but its like a cat and mouse game. Manager said we "might" start you on...the 4th of July if we can work out the schedule....... Weird to start someone on a holiday but fine with me. Here it is July 1st and I have heard nothing. This has been going on over a month. This is not uncommon and its enough to drive you nuts.

This is crazy! But oh, a bookstore! How nice it would be to work in a bookstore! Hang in there. Let us know how this turns out.

After two interviews, numerous emails, a few phone calls, uniform and shoes bought (this has been going on for a month).....nothing. No response to an email and a phone call asking about when I would be starting. Why do they waste my time and their money?

At least you have had some interest! I send out resumes every day and have had one interview in a year! I am to the point where when they have you tell them about you I beg for a way to prove myself.
