I'm starting to get excited, because my goals are about to be reached. I've been in school solid since I was 4 years old. Today I took my exit exams for grad school. I have a good feeling that I passed them. It was an all written test, and it took 14 pages for me to get it done!! Anyway, if all goes well I'll finish school on December 8. I will finally be done with college, and hopefully will find a job as a nurse practitioner. I won't take my certification exam until January, but I can work some until then. I'm going to start looking for jobs this weekend. I'm so excited and nervous, because I've been working towards this goal for so long. I'm finally about to start my career. I just had to share some of my feelings. I've been gone for two weeks, and I've missed posting!

Well done, Heather. You're finally at the end of that long road and about to move along a new exciting path. (I wondered where you'd been, I thought you might be sick again.)
Good luck with the job hunting. I hope you find work that satisfies your ambitions and is interesting enough to be a pleasure to go to work.
By the way-our Nurse practitioner is leaving the medical practice where I live-any chances of relocating to NY State???

Thanks everyone. Arlene, I would be willing to relocate. I'll be finished with school in December. I could move in January. I wonder if they'd take a new graduate? Do you have a Lowe's nearby? My finace would have to transfer to another Lowe's until he decides what he's going to do.

Oh gosh-The closest Lowe's is an hour away, in good weather.
With several mountains to cross.
I am not sure, I just know we were there last week, and I was shocked to learn that our beloved Charlene is leaving the practice My mother also subs there occasionally for the nurses when they need a day off.
I can give you the name and # if you are truly interested, and you could call for info. I really don't know any inside info. But I do know they are going to be hurting. It is a one dr., one NP practice, so I know they will have to hire someone.

You go girl! my MIL is a nurse and I know how much schooling/training she has to do just to maintain her position - I can't even imagine how much schoolwork you had to do! Best of luck!
