    Unhappy Job Interview

i had the most horrible job interview yesterday.
it was gonna be so perfect... a part time w/hrs from 10 - 2pm... that way I could ensure I'd be home when the little one got back... but NO!

    that was too easy.

it was completely different than the ad i applied for. i even took it in & the HR lady laughed at me... laughed!! and said "that post is about 4 yrs old".
    WTH???
And said "there have been a few changes since" & goes on to tell me i'd have to cover up to 8 ppl's shifts (receptionists) because "sometimes they dont show up" - but i'd also have to get MY job done (which would'a been delivering the mail to the different buildings).
BUT... if I had to stay late (due to covering others' shifts) then that's fine... the campus stayed open until 7pm - BUT

    ---get this part ----

i wouldnt get paid for having to stay over my "given" hours.

I was so MAD - i mean angry - when I left I couldnt see straight.

so i stopped by the video store in front of the house (newly opened) & applied there. today will be my interview.

    *sigh*

    oh & btw.... HI!

sneaking again on here from work.

Oh that's awful Sue, sounds like you're better off without that one! Good luck with the new interview!

    Angry

Being required to work over and not being paid?? Isn't that called slavery and isn't that illegal?? I wished you'd laughed back at her!!
Definitely better off without that job!!

Doesn't sound like a job I would want either.

You do not need to work for a company like that!

Good luck on the new interview. Was that lady serious? Maybe she had a friend lined up for the job and was trying to scare everyone else off?
