Default Job Search Update - New Update 7/27!

Ok, on March 15th I became really upset with the management where I work and decided that I would be gone within a year. I have good news on a job search update!

    1. My previous job before this one, which I lost because I was laid off, is hiring again. I emailed my resume through Monster and then emailed the plant manager. He said that he hadn't called me because he didn't want to create issues with my current employer, but he'd really like to talk to me about it. My resume should land on his desk next week. (This was the BEST job I've ever had in my whole life!)

    2. I was tipped off by a friend that another competitor had someone quit this week, and to be on the lookout for something in the Sunday paper. My friend said that I could use her for a reference. I can't wait until tomorrow! Even if there's nothing in the paper, I'm going to send my resume to their HR person.

    3. One of my current customers is looking for a customer service rep. I emailed them and askd if they'd be interested in talking to me and they said sure. I'm going to email my resume to them today.

Wow! I'm trying to stay within my industry (since I love what I do, just not who I do it for) and this week I got 3 good leads! What more can I ask for?

    Counting my Blessings,
    Sara

Awesome! I'm sure it will all work out the way you want it to!

What kind of industry do you work in? Are you a CSR?

I'm looking for a similar job too as I struggle with my decision to go back to work or stay a SAHM.

I suppose that I should have mentioned that yes, I am a CSR. I work in the envelope industry. If you ever need some free envelopes, I'm the person to ask!

    Ok, here's my latest update.

Option #1 - the best job I've ever had - I have an interview on Friday. I emailed my contact and he gave me his home number so we talked last night - he said he has interview a few people but was holding off because he wanted to talk to me! He told me that he pushed their corporate recruiting office to call me, since they have to screen everyone first and to be on the lookout for a call. I got the call tonight, have my preliminary screener (phone interview) tomorrow. I could have told him that I had the actual interview lined up already (but didn't).

So tonight I touched up my roots, picked out an outfit and had DH wash it, got new shoes and a belt to go with it, and made an appointment to get my nails done Friday. I'm hoping to have an offer Friday afternoon or Monday.

Woo-hoo! This will be the best thing that has happened to me since I got married!!!
