    Default Paycheck

Ok, at my new job I can actually view my paycheck online (before I get it) - which is really cool in and of itself. But I checked out my first paycheck and almost fell over. They haven't figured out the voluntary deductions yet (medical, vision, FSA, etc) but the total paid to me after taxes should be about $1750! And this is only for 3 weeks! (I get paid monthly and started Sept. 12th). I guess I don't have to worry about coming up with the $1000 to cover rent this month I figure a full months check should be somewhere between $2300-$2400.

Now I'm going to have to figure out a plan for all my extra cash (debt reduction and savings building, of course, but will still need a plan).

My company has actually decided to go exclusively to online statements, to save on mailings (for direct deposit people like me). I get to see my check about 5 working days before it hits the bank. My average paycheck is actually $2450.

At this rate - goodbye debt and hello house! Next year!

I'm so excited for you Sara.I know you've talked about getting a house before and starting a family

Steve's work does direct deposit as well, thats the only way they pay you..no live checks! What I dont get is...when he gets his stub,it has a printed out check on the bottom but says non neogitable (sp)...why even bother printed that out...I mean,he gets a stub..???
I also do some online banking.Mostly to see whats cleared and I can see what the deposit is for his check way before he gets it
