    Question Counseling as a career?

One of the careers I am thinking of pursuing is Counseling.

It looks like I need a Masters Degree in Counseling Pscyhology to get started (60 credits and anywhere between 15 and 40K!).

Is anyone here a Counselor and do you have any insights or information you could pass on to help me with my decisions?

I'm not a counsellor, however I've had 2 wonderful counsellors who helped me through 2 very difficult times in my life. I can't speakly highly enough for those who counsel.

I'm pursuing a Christian Counseling degree but it is only for use at my church (not for profit). Good luck! I know several excellent counselors and they find their jobs very fulfilling.
