I always take my lunch, except on an occassional Friday. The staff usually orders out on Friday's. I may order once or twice a month.

I work 2nd shift so I always eat a meal before I leave and then I'll just take something along to snack on, like pretzels, cheez-its or something like that

I bring a yogurt, a banana, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some potato chips every day. We have Poland Spring water at school, so I drink water throughout the day.

I work 2-3 days per week, and eat out with my friends 2x weekly. It's always fast food, usually around $4-5 for lunch.
It's a habit I should quit for $$ reasons, but, those are the only two meals I get in a week without a toddler and I enjoy the social time.
I do take lunch once in a while if we have some good leftovers.

I try to take my lunch as much as possible. I will take leftovers, or a sandwich, some fruit, sometimes yogurt, and a snack. And beginning this week I make iced tea to drink instead of buying soda from the machine.

Mine is actually dinner, and I pretty much ALWAYS take it with me. (There may be two occasions a year, excluding work potlucks or other work events where the food is provided, when I don't take lunch.)
The cafeteria at work is supposed to be open till 8. If you don't get there by 6:30, you won't get any food. If you don't get there right at 4:30 when the dinner food comes out, you won't get anything decent.
Even the salad is yucky, because they use rye croutons.

not as often as I should, but I plan on doing more often so I can put that extra money towards something else.

Yes, as often as I can. Usually by Friday we have run out of various leftovers and all, so I eat alot of canned soups for lunch.

yes, I take sandwiches and soup. I usually have a stack of fruit on my desk as well. I teach in the construction dept at a college and the canteen there is SO bad compared to the main site. they assume that bricklayers etc will want fried food. You can't even get a salad. Yes....we have all complained! Still, it saves me money as it makes me take my lunch along. feel sorry for the students though - maybe it will change next year.

I recently retired. I kept 5 frozen meals in our fridge for the week. I bought which ever brand was on sale.

Nearly every day--- I worked night shifts this week, though- and was not feeling very good-- so I ate in the cafeteria. It had been so long since I'd eaten there, I'd forgotten how to open the refrigerator section to get a slice of pie.
