Got a new job
I just got offered a job at Dunkin Donuts

It's less than a mile from my house and even better, they have a shift that works for me....4am to 10am. Dh would get the kids off to school and I would be home in time for the youngest to get done with pre-k at 11am.
They suggested I would be a good candidate for team shift manager....but it's nights and I'd rather work mornings. Nights are family time, IMO.
At any rate, I know I'll enjoy this a lot more than working at the sandwich shop. If nothing else, it's something I haven't done before and it'll be a challenge for a while. Plus it's walking distance....and just think of those donuts

Congrats, sounds like a better fit for your family. Walking distance is great (although is it safe to walk at 4am?) considering the price of gas and burning off the donut calories!!

Thanks everybody. I'm feeling much better about having to work now. They are more than willing to work around my schedule with the kids and that to me is worth any hassle I have to go through.
I probably wouldn't walk when I have to be to work at 4am, but on the weekends I'll probably work a different shift, then I'll be walking to save on the gas. But either way, it's less gas usage than driving 40 miles (one way) out to the sandwich shop! I start training tomorrow bright & early at 6am. Good thing they have coffee, I'm gonna need it lol.
Plus it helps that I'll be working around two of my most favorite foods...coffee & donuts
