Ugh!!!!!!
OOOH AM I DREADING WORK TODAY!!! we are having major problems with the boss not buying very necessary supplies or having any cleaning done the last almost year. I have a new client to match color on. 90% chance we don't have the color. I've been very seriously contemplating not working there after 8 yrs. Hum but what to do? I've done the same job since 1988 and it is as far as I see my only marketable skill. I think overall I'd like to be my own boss but doing something different!!!!!!!!!
Sat the boss scheduled me 2 updos on new clients in a very tight schedule. Guess who doesn't do updos on new clients??? Yep!!! Now she has known for 8 years I only do updos for my clients not new ones. That was the agreement. So instead let me rush and not have enough time to do a good job on anyone.
Dh thinks I could save the family the pt $ I make by being extra careful and come out even. However I have never not worked pt.Last edited by nodmicks; 06-15-2006 at 07:56 AM.

When work has you miserable and you see no end in sight it's time for a change. Life is too short to be miserable. Time to brainstorm and think of a way to make this work for you. Don't be afraid to think out of the box, it just may lead you to something worthwhile and exciting.
Good luck!

Rodmick whatever you do will be the right decision. It is hard to work for a boss that doesn't do anything.

I just wanted to add in about my conversation with Dh today. Before we moved here I had a very small errand business (1998) at the time I lived in the bigger city and 1-2 days a week did grocery shopping etc for 6.50 per stop. I quit when we moved here as its about 30 miles to the stores.
Dh and I were discussing if even living here with current gas prices it could be profitable. Obviously it would have to cost quite a bit more. I'm tossing it around. Any ideas?~July 19 saving goal for event $80/$1000

I bet an errand service would be a great job! Especially with our aging society and high gas prices this would be a service that many would use.
Best of luck!

I'll bet the errand service would pay and if you combined with something like a pet sitting biz that might really work out well for you. In our community there are no pet sitters and a real need.
