My Boss....good grief
Here is my vent, if you don't mind. I normally work only 1/2 days monday threw friday. Well about 10 weeks ago one of the ladies quit and left in a hurry. There are 2 of us to cover her hours and I didn't mind for a little while. Well my boss never talks to me, he is one of those strange people that can walk right by you and not see you. I feel totally invisable most days and you can't call him on his phone because it is always busy...he walks around with his phone permanetly attached to his head. Well I had asked him about a replacement last month and he said...I really want that parcel we have to go in there, but we need to wait till her 18th birthday. Well when is that?? "end of october". ..O.k. I can wait till then. Well it's november and he gives me no update no nothing. Now the other lady that I work with has vacation this week, so last week I asked him what we were doing to cover her hours??? He gets this dumb look on his face and says he completely forgot. So...I tell him I can cover out Monday and Tuesday full shift...but I can't cover her afternoons wed-fri and he needs to find someone for full shifts on Saturday and Sunday. I also told him that I can no-longer work past 4 in the afternoon after this week. Fed up he is the worst boss I have ever had. Well you can ignore me, but you can no-longer ignore this problem....he can't be mad at me, he has had 10 weeks and I want my part-time hours back, just wait till I put in for my last week of vacation..really soon.
O.k. I feel better, thanks for letting me vent.

suzysaver,
You made it clear to him what you could and couldn't do...that is all you can do. It is the really consciencious(sp) workers that worry that something will not be done or taken care of (You) ...sounds as if your boss may have to pick up the slack he has created..

Thanks ladies, He didn't speak to me again today. Well one more full shift and then I might just have to shut playland down at 4 oclock on wednesday and 3 oclock on thurs and friday and I don't think he has anyone to do full days on saturday and sunday. Wow I really hope he gets a lot of complaints.
I just keep telling myself it's his fault not mine.
