So frustrated
Right now I'm about to write my last exams ever. I'll be graduating from college in a week and a half. I've been applying for jobs for the last 4 months and I'm getting really frustrated. I haven't got one reply back!! NOT ONE!!! I'm starting to feel like maybe my degree isn't really worth anything but you'd think Biotechnology would have a lot since its the "fastest growing field in Canada". Thats of course from the school and from biotechnology websites.
I'm so worried because I need a better paying job and we need to move soon.
Erg.
Anybody else have the same problem right now?Debts

#1- Student Loan #1 - PIF!!!!!
#2- student loan - $5834
#3- student loan - $4900
Cc - PIF!!!
Total Debt
10734/33900 = 23166 paid!!!
Savings
2500/1000 - BEF fully funded!!!

Don't give up! Something will come up soon. I would think in that field it would take some time to find a job. Have you talked to your professors about this, have other students found jobs yet>?

First of all - CONGRATS!!!! on your upcoming graduation!
Second, does your school have a career counseling office? If so, use it. They often help with resumes, finding openings, practice interviews, and all kinds of things. Something will happen eventually, but I expect you'd be a lot happier if it started sooner than later>
Good luck.

I know a number of people in the same boat. My sister is upper level IT managment- she has been unemployed and searching for 8 months. My gf's bf has a degree in psychology and has been looking for 18 months. I am employed, but apply for a different job- no call backs at all since October. It is hard not to get down, but you can't stay bummed. Focus on the positive that you are getting that degree! Hugs.
