    Default Quit my job today

I was ganged up on and lied about today at work, simply because of someone who did not do their job, and their best friend, who wanted to get back at me because they thought I got her in trouble.

My manager wanted me to take a couple of days to calm down and think about it, but I told her that even though I really like her, and appreciate everything she's done for me, I will never walk back into that store again, much less into that department, and I can't go back to what I was doing before.

So now I'm going tomorrow to file for unemployment under "hostile work environment", and see a worker's comp attorney about taking on my case. I've worked in pain for several months now, with NO attention from a Dr., and a representative who wouldn't even return my calls. PLUS they claim that the Dr. said they should deny my claim for surgery, but funny, I was never sent a denial letter, and that's NOT what he told me.

I'm going to seriously take this time to declutter and get this house sold, and get the he!! out of this town. I'll take a hit on the house, but at this point, I don't care. I wanted to leave here 7 years ago, and I was willing to sell for very little then, so why not now, when I can make at least $20,000 more than I would have then?

This is a sign to me that I need to get my a$$ in gear, and do what I should have done a long time ago.

Yes, I'm still upset. I worked my tail off at that job, and to be treated this way is simply absurd!

I am so sorry to hear that you were treated that way. I think that moveing on may be what you need. YOu should probably move closer to your kids. I once worked with a woman who was in her 60's and her children lived in California. She was here alone and was barely getting by. She finaly gave in and moved , she has never been happier and is working at a job she loves. I see better things for you in your future.

I am so sorry that you have been subjected to that type of enviroment. I am sure that things will get better now that you are out of there and ready to move and get on with a happy life. Remember we are all here in your cheering section .

Sorry to hear about the way you were treated but maybe this is a sign for you to get up and move up and out of the area. I wish I could do that right now so I envy you.

I quit my job at the beginning of August. The drive was too long (45 min one way), it wasn't worth paying $60 a week in gas and I really wasn't happy with the job itself.

Since then, I found a part time job and it's soo much better. I have time to keep my house clean, laundry done, and create a menu for my DH to cook at night and it works out great. I seem to get more done now than I did working full-time Mon - Fri.

I hope it will all work out for you too. Sometimes you just have to quit to find a better one!
