Anyone a working student?
Anyone working and going to school at the same time?
I am working part-time in a kinda crappy job while attending school full-time. It is hard to balance working and school at the same time, and I was just wondering if I had anyone else going through the same thing?
I am a student at a university in my sophmore year going for a 4 yr degree, but intend upon taking an extra year for a master's...so that is over 3.5 more years for me...

I'm a grad student now, but during undergrad I always worked while taking 18 credits too so I know your experience. The balance gets easier, especially if you plan ahead a bit for the next day/coming week, etc.

Yeah I am taking 18 hours right now, so I'm right smack in the middle of it...

Yup, have always worked while going to school though this fall I decided not to work. But will work again in the spring, just a bit. I'm a senior going for a bachelor's but I'm going to take two more years because I'm also a SAHM.

I did that last year, and tried to do it this year, but I ran out of money and had to go back to work before the spring semester.

I am going to school, but my job is very part-time. I only work Saturdays. My DH, on the other hand, has gone to school and worked full-time for the last three years. I don't know how he does it. I take care of most of the domestic chores, like grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry. I also spend at least 30-35 hours a week outside of class studying.

Been there, done that. It was very hard. I was a bartender, and sometimes I would work until 4 a.m., and have a test at 8 a.m. I'd cut all the rest of my classes for the day and go home and crash.

I went to bed at a decent hour last night, but then I had a fight with my SO and stayed up most the night then I couldn't sleep well. Got about 2 hours of sleep, had an exam in my first class, sitting in my second class right now, and I have two more today. Then I go home and change, and then go to work til 10 tonight.

I work full-time and go to school full-time and raise my son by myself until hubby's tour of duty ends. It sucks and it's frustrating at times, but once it's done, I'll be so relieved!

Hang in there! As an undergrad I worked about 30 hrs/wk and took at least 16 hrs each semester. Now I'm in grad school I work 40 hrs a week and take 6 hrs of school each semester...plus I bought a house this semester that I've been painting and replacing carpet in. Just remember to look at your class syllabus alot to keep track of everything! Good Luck!

**raises hand weakly** Yes, I work M-F full time and am getting my Masters PT, because apparently I thought those hours between midnight and 7AM were being wasted by sleep ;P

I work full time and am a full time student. It is hard juggling household, family, work, and school, but it can be done. At night when everyone else is going to bed, I am cleaning the house and getting things in order for the next day. I take my homework to work with me and when I have a free minute, I work on it so that I am not spending all my time at home working on it.
Good luck to you!~*Michelle*~

I just find it really frustrating and in the past week it has caused a lot of stress on my relationship with my BF...I don't know any way to fix it either so it makes me feel bad, which adds to the already existing stress. *sigh*
