Default Dreading going to work today

They're still playing games and testing me, and it's getting so hard to even go to work anymore. They keep thinking of worse and worse things for me to do, trying to get me to quit. Isn't going to happen. I hate this job, but I love this company, and if I hang in there, there will be something better for me down the road.

I don't really have any advice, just hang in there. I will send out some positive thoughts and hope your workmates pick some up.

I say just hang in there, things might change for the better. If you let the co-workers see they annoy you they will try even harder to do so, just keep your head up high, they might just be jealous of you!

I deal with a crew that is suspicious of me and a manager that plain out does NOT like me, I'm from a completely different world than they are, they live in the moment and don't care a lick about anything but "me, me, me, me, me".

I just keep a good song running through my head and smile, that drives em nuts more than anything, I do NOT let them see they get to me (sometimes it's HARD to do, but I just keep remembering, work is NOT my life, I don't live to work there, I have a LIFE outside)

Chin up, smile and pretend you enjoy it, keep that good tune going in your head, or that small goal for that days money, makes the day go faster.

Hoping your day was at least a little better than you were anticipating. Hang in there!! A bad job situation is terrible. Like the other ladies said, just do not let them know they sometimes get to you.

Though I dont know the complete history, I say....dont let them make you quit. Bide your time, and if they really want you gone they will have to fire you. Many companies will try to force you out so that you cant file for unemployment.

I had this happen to me. But thats another story. If you quit, its unlikley you will get UI. However, make sure you document anything hostile or bad happenning to you, with your supervisor, even if he/she is the one trying to oust you.

They are still required to put on file any formal complaints you have...go above them if you have to.

Its hard when you dont even want to go to work, and if you want to stay with the company, I would begin filing complaints at a higher level....once you file, they really cant fire you (or they usually won't) because its against the law to fire someone because they make a complaint......irregardless of thier actual reason, it would most likely be considered retaliation.

good luck to you, and keep your head held high! Karma is on your side!

Jaded, you've always sounded like one tough cookie to me. Take the advice above and keep being tough. You can get through this. Just document, document, document. And an iPod with headphones could help too.

If it does get to the point where you need to quit, you are going to have to bring unemployment documents (just your daily notes of what's going on).

Being forced out of your job is called a constructive discharge and it is cause to collect unemployment.

Look for job openings so that you could transfer out of the dept.

I wish you luck, it's a terrible thing to have your stomach clenching at the thought of going to work. Remember also, like frugalfarmwife told you, work is what you do so that you have the money to do what you want/need to do when your not working.
