i was a :
Volunteer at a Vet Clinic ( jack of all from front desk to kennels to assistant vet tech, or as i used to call it official cleaner upper of pee poo and Black.. and was my fav job!!) Free!!
Foodlion Cashier -$5.15 finally got 5 cents raise after asking for one after being there for a year and a half then got cut back to 4 hours a week
BFS - $5.25 went up to $5.35 after we went to skeleton crew, i got mono my manager got mad because the district manager told her i could still work instead of her laying me off as long as i kept my hands clean. So she worked me 40 while i had mono and after when i was better 16 hours.
Walmart- Over night cashier $6.00 got a raise $6.50.. Both the CSMs for nights left at the same time so i became the only CSM they had got 6 months then trained the new CSM and then they brought a CSM from day shift to nights since i was going to be going to school soon. Then the lady i trained left because the 2 new CSMs were fighting so i turned CSM again. Moved to NC and ended up stocking for $6.50 HATED it the whole work ethic and peoples attitude were different.
Best Western- Front desk $5.50 worked my butt off 80-90 hr weeks on call during weekends, did manager duties, computer help, changed over system, trained everyone on the new system. GM was a Bee Itch yelled at me all the time and finally between living with my IL's at the time, working so much, and stress i physically wore myself out!!
Wilco Hess - Desiel Desk Cashier $8.75 no over time got screwed on holiday pay/overtime.. worked myself into a sweat every day trying to help matinance keep up and do my job.
Best Western .. now Salisbury Inn & Suites Front Desk $6.25 .. Owner and GM has changed YAY...flexable hours and they work with me because they know i will work for my money and if they need me i will come in at the drop of a hat if i can.. they know if they change the computer system i will pick it up quickly and be able to break it down into simple steps so others can learn the system quickly and easily... already know when i come back from maturnity leave i can bring my baby with me.. easy job i sit and piddle on the computer most of the time because i have nothing better to do*lol* Sad huh.
