    Default Chocolate bars

In a bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the flour and cocoa powder. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the pan.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the oven. Allow to cool before cutting into squares!

I am not sure of the measurements, I am going to guess that it would be the same for a batch of cookies. Like 1 stick butter, half cup sugar, 1 egg, but like I said not too sure. I can share this though from my secret recipe book.
    Snickers Bars:
1 TBS. plus 2 TBS. water
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    2 TBS. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 TBS peanut butter
    Dash of salt
    3 cups powdered sugar
35 unwrapped Kraft caramels (I am sure any would do as long as they are the hard ones, have not tried with caramel syrup yet.)
1 cup dry roasted salted peanuts
2-12 oz bags of milk chocolate chips.

With mixer on high speed, combine 1 TBS water, corn syrup, butter, vanilla, peanut butter and salt until creamy. Slowly add powdered sugar.
When mixture has the consistency of dough, remove it from the bowl with you hands and press into lightly greased 9x9 in. pan. Set in the refrigerator
Melt the caramels in a small pan with 2 TBS. water over low heat
When the caramel is soft mix in the peanuts. Pour mixture over the refrigerated nougat in the pan. Let this cool in the refrigerator.
When the mixture is firm, melt the chocolate over low heat in a double boiler or in a microwave oven set on high for 2 min. Stir halfway through cooking time.
When the mixture in the pan has hardened cut it into 4x1 in. sections
Set each chunk onto a fork and dip into the melted chocolate. Tap the fork against the side of the bowl or pan to knock off any excess chocolate. Then place the chunks on wax paper to cool at room temperature (less than 70 F) This could take several hours but the bars will set best this way. You can speed up the process by placing the bars in the fridge for 30 min.

Hope you like, enjoy your homemade snickers.
