Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino
That's a mouthful of words..
Anyone else LOVE this stuff? In general I don't like Starbucks and I think their prices are outrageous but I might have to make an exception here. $6 for four small bottles is a lot but maybe if I drink just one a day.

sounds so good right now but never heard of it. Canada doesnt have star bucks, we have Tim Hortons, baking donuts and Robins Doughnuts. Our timmys has a great ice cappuchino.

Brew a very strong pot of coffee.
Stir in half-and-half, Hershey's Special Dark syrup (or make your own), and 2-3 drops of peppermint extract. Play around with the amounts until it tastes the way you like it.
For $6, you can make a couple gallons of the stuff! Store it in the fridge and use within 3-5 days.

They have the 4pks here for $5 @ Target.
I just bought the Mint Truffle 4pk last night. I figure what the hey, it's a seasonal thing and it's a treat. It's not like I buy them every day.

The title of this thread granted you my complete and undivided attention.
I looooooooooooove starbucks. I once was at the grocery store and smelt the most wonderful smell ever. I followed it for an isle and a half and discovered that the smell was starbucks.

ive been seeing these but never paid attention to the flavors. i may need to try some. it was starbucks frappucinos that helped me make it to my early classes in college on time AND stay awake. of course, the back end of my car would 'clank' and 'tink' from the banging of the bottles that i collected in the back seat.

Actually miss_thrifty - we do have them in Canada - possibly only in the hugely populated cities? They can usually be found in those new outside plaza's (Smart Centres I think they're called - their logo/icon/statue is 3 penguins on a block?). Usually I see them there, in a kiosk or their own store in an actual big mall or in the Chapters stores. For me their coffee is too over roasted and strong for my stomach and makes me sick. Their specialty coffees would be a treat.
The frapp's sound delicious - but since Ive tried a plain non seasonal one, I found it reminded me of drinking coffee flavoured cream...too rich for my liking. I actually poured some into my home brewed coffee to help cream/sweeten it
Even the bottles are cute like old milk/cream jars when it used to be delivered to your doorstep back in the day.
My cheat version for this - I buy Coffeemate's holiday flavour Peppermint Mocha and put it in my home brewed coffee. This year I havent purchased any b/c its too sweet for me but I dont think I'll be able to resist temptation when I go back down to the US in early Dec for final Christmas shopping. Sadly I have only seen these flavours in the US

I bought a 4 pack when it first came out this season. I was really good. I have tried to make my own. It is close but not quite the same, but for the money.....
I've been really good about giving up starbucks, but I do crave it now and then, especially the seasonal stuff.
I see they didn't make their earnings #'s this quarter...guess more people are feeling the economic pinch and cutting back. After all, the prices are a bit crazy. I heard that McDonalds has given them a run for their money too.
