Frugal ideas for men's stocking stuffers?
It's easy to find things to put in my DDs' stockings, but I have a hard time on my DH. Do you have any frugal ideas for men's stocking stuffers? Maybe some of the guys here could say what they like to find in their stockings. Be nice, guys, LOL!

I always put a bottle or two of some funky beer that we have never seen before.
My dh loves my moms beef jerky so I have her make a giant batch just for him.
last yr I put several 5 dollars gift cards to different fast food places. He kept them in his work truck for days he need more then he packed if his day was extra long.

Samples!
I get things at walmart.com and save for his stocking. Things like bottles of body wash or shampoo, etc. While he has a favorite scent, he doesn't mind the others at all.
Hubby likes a certain type of gum and candybar, but rarely likes to buy them for himself. So I indulge him and buy it for him at Christmas.Spiritual:

no clothes, no underwear, no socks.
Give me gift cards to Home Depot, Lowes, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop, Borders, Amazon...etc
Or I always give my wife a DETAILED list of things to choose from or I will wind up taking it back.
Example: Lets say I wanted a particular tool but she bought the cheap or expensive brand but not necessarily the good brand.
Stocking stuffer...favorite magazine subscription. Buy a copy from the store and stuff in the stocking.Russ

I think I am going to use my knifty-knitter and make hats for stocking stuffers.
Like the idea of the funky beer, too!

I like the idea of the 5$ giftcards to FastFood places.I might have to do a couple of those this year.
I hardcore look at the clearance racks too. Zac loves man bodywash (like Old Spice, Axe, etc) and it's stinkin' expensive! I found a huge bottle of Old Spice on sale for 1.50 and I had a dollar off coupon. I'll put some candy in there for him too.McD

Mine likes the 3 packs of golf balls, his favorite athletic socks, cheesy computer games and I usually put in his favorite aftershave.

I sometimes hit the "travel size" counter. Those little shampoo's, deodorant, toothpaste, shaving cream, and after shave containers make great stocking stuffers. They really do have a bunch of things to choose from and you can get them at a very good price.

Air Fresherners, bungy cords, tire pressure gage, new steering wheel cover, gloves, small container of hand wipes, new shop rag, new cd, hard candies, oil change card.

Packs of gum, mints, favorite candies, gift cards, personalized coupons for his favorite things or a reprieve from his not so favorites, a can of smokehouse almonds and some of his favorite pens. I really like the magazine subscription idea! We also do an apple, orange and mixed nuts.

Here's some of the things heading Old Man's stocking ...
hand/foot warmers (we live in a cold winter area)
'manly' body washes (he is welcomed to use the household wash, but sometimes a man doesn't want to smell like cucumber melon
)
car wash coupons (done at home)
small wooden game from the Dollar Tree (stockings are for toys after all
)
I don't want to list too much... I have a sneaky suspicion he's been checking out the village once I've gone to bed
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I LOVE the idea about the automotive store, Laurie! I'm going to have to try that this year on dh AND the adult ds's. They are all hard to think of some good things for.
In the past I have put small shoe-shine kits, shoe horns, sample tubes of toothpaste, lip balm, for the cigar smokers---a cigar cutter and lighters, car air fresheners, spray and wipes for eyeglasses for dh, toothpick holders that pop out toothpicks (my guys are toothpick crazy), all-in-one tools, swiss army knives, and of course the ever present gift card to their fav places.______

Cool flashlights, marshmallow trees from See's chocolates (lol, I love these things!), nail clippers, nail scrub brushes, armor all, a wallet, keychains, beef stick from Hickory Farms, small toys.
